Created Sapphire is similar to a diamond with its brilliance and crystal clarity, but it is a synthesized(man-made) crystalline material that is colorless, hard, and flawless. it looks so much like a diamond, it is an affordable alternative to diamonds. it can made in different colors to simulate the different colors of a diamond.
Created Sapphire started being produced in 1976 because of its diamond-like qualities, low cost, and overall durability. Created Sapphire is mineral that is used as a diamond simulant and is widely synthesized.

The color of the Heart & Arrow Created Sapphire and its sparkle is due primarily to ist "dispersion", that is , the fact that the colors of sunlight are separated by refraction in the diamond, so as it moves, different colors make it to your eye, even with tiny changes in orientation. Now there are artificial stones that have a higher dispersion, and are therefore (in the original sense) "more beautiful" .

Why wouldn't you want a stone that was more beautiful than a diamond ? The common reason is that Created Sapphire is cheap. Give someone an engagement ring of Created Sapphire and you are not demonstrating your willingness to be extravagant for your love. Diamonds are valued because of their cost.
